Hi Friends,

Hope you had a great holiday season and a happy new year. I went on a little road trip down to South and then came back up for a quiet break. I was stoked to get so many encouraging responses to the first newsletter, so thank you all for reading and replying.

Naturally, things are busy to start the year. We are working on multiple store builds simultaneously at Electric Eye and starting a couple branding gigs at Feel. Also, we relaunched Tetra as a lighters shop, and it's been fun to flex some ecom skills on the merchant side. We are restocking more items soon, procuring samples for new products, and getting ad accounts started up. I still hate GA4 ;)

I listened to all of the 3 hour Katt Williams interview on youtube and found it to be hilarious, offensive, and fascinating all at the same time. One of the highlights for me was this part about being 'putting your people on'.

In the world of small business, freelancing, and life in general, it's so important to help the people in your network thrive. It could be an introduction, a referral, an investment, a piece of advice, a pep talk, or a repost. I love to help out where I can, probably because I've been helped tremendously in the past and see the positive impact. On the other hand, I've unfortunately witnessed the 'gatekeeping' and felt a lack of support running a small biz, and it sucks. So let's put someone on this year.

I really enjoyed this 2 Bobs podcast episode about giving referrals before expecting anything in return. If there is something you need from me, please don't hesitate to ask!

The Blue Jackets are woeful again this year and I'm finding the CBJ reddit to be a good support group. I scooped these vintage CCM hats, so nice I bought it twice! All of the new CBJ gear is weak. Someone should do something about that 🤔
